While the Grinch does come in and out of the chimney and looks great while inflated, there are some major flaws that hinder the overall experience. One major issue is the lack of sufficient tie-down spots. This makes it difficult to secure the inflatable, especially during windy conditions. Customers have expressed frustration in Constantly having to re-secure the inflatable, and some have even resorted to throwing it away after it became covered in snow on their roofs. Another disappointment is the decline in quality compared to previous Gemmy inflatables. Longtime customers have noticed that the once sturdy and durable material has been replaced with a subpar alternative. The Grinch moves slowly and is not as responsive as expected, and the attached dog does not fully inflate. These issues are compounded by the fact that the product is priced at nearly $100, which many feel is overpriced for the small size and underwhelming performance. While the Gemmy 111590 Grinch Inflatable does inflate adequately when plugged into an electricity outlet, it unfortunately falls short in other areas. The inability to leave it inflated for a longer period of time and the lack of alternate functions detract from its overall appeal.
