Box Sets Editorial Review
Borgen The Complete Second Season [DVD] is a captivating portrayal of Danish politics that continues the gripping narrative established in the first season. It explores the fictionalized election of Denmark's first female prime minister, Birgitte Nyborg, and showcases the intricate political machinations amidst captivating character developments. Reviewers praise the series for its mature storytelling and sophisticated approach, treating the audience with intelligence rather than resorting to crude dramatic devices. The first episodes of this season set a promising tone, maintaining the high standard from its predecessor, with excellent script writing and character arcs that resonate well, particularly concerning moral dilemmas faced by the characters.
