Answer: Near where they're damaging the house. Make sure you plug the holes they have already made on your house and they will go in the trap instead. -

Answer: No, I did not put anything in the jar. I actually had two bees in the jar within the first hour after I hung the trap. -

Does this product have any utility after the bees have made your home their home?
Answer: If you fill the holes they've made in your home and hang where those holes were, they will use the trap instead. -

Does the mason jar come with the trap?
Answer: Yes, I received the jar with my trap. -

Description says corks are provided to plug any holes near where you’re hanging traps. I didn’t get any corks?
Answer: Didn't get corks, don't need them. -

What stops the bee from just flying back out the hole like it does with the house?
Answer: I'm not exactly sure but it looks like they can't climb up the sides of the glass jar (too slippery) and there's not enough room to fly in the jar. It's brilliant actually! They've been up three days and we've caught over ten bees! -

These are beneficial bees, does it kill them or just trap them?
Answer: It only attracts carpenter bees. Not beneficial honey bees. Once they are trapped they do die. -

I see online the suggestion to 'bait' the traps. Is this necessary and, if so, what kind of bait?
Answer: It's not necessary to bait the trap, but if you have a dead bee in the jar, your chances of catching other bees is better. -
Question:
If it comes with bait, do I have to buy more? Can I use this from year to year?
Answer: No bait is needed, but a dead bee will help. Yes, this can be used from year to year. -
Question:
How many holes are there for the bees to get in?
Answer: There were 4 holes. I did not catch a single bee with this. A total waste of money.
