15 Feet Water Level Float Switch with Mounting Bracket

The Level Sense Float Switch is a submersible device designed for use with clean water, such as sump pumps or rainwater. It is not suitable for use in septic systems or grinder pumps, where the water is filled with suspended solids and debris. This device is rated for current up to 1.5Amps and can be positioned to come on or off when the water level moves the float. The on position is when the float is closest to the end where the cable is. Its best to install as show in the photo using zip ties onto a piece of 40 or 50mm pvc drain pipe. The switch is a regular switch and can be installed as such. Red wire to Positive, white wire to Negative (ground). The point at which it turns on and shuts off is virtually identical. The switch cycles twice per day and a 9v battery lasts about a month, 60 cycles, before running down the battery. Overall, the Level Sense Float Switch works great for monitoring the water level, and can prevent water damage when used with a primary sump pump. Customers have reported some issues with the mounting system, causing the switch to pop out, but this can be fixed by reshaping the plastic mount. Another complaint was that the stroke was too short, around 3/4". In terms of its lifespan, some customers experienced issues with melting and distorting. On the whole, though, it is seen as a small and compact product, easy to install and set up.
