The ball is filled with sand and does not require a pump for inflation. While some customers have noted that the size of the ball varied, the average diameter seems to be around 3.75 inches. The tacky rubbery feel of the ball allows it to easily sit in the palm of your hand. Some customers have claimed that the plastic coating may become sticky over time.
